Description:
Caprinone is a zirconium oxide with a thermally stable carbonyl group. The reaction of caprinone with fatty acids produces methyl ketones and hydrogen-bonding interactions. Caprinone has been shown to react reversibly, requiring activation energy and an intermolecular hydrogen bonding mechanism. This reversible process is used to produce plates and dipole molecules that have hydrocarbon groups.
