Product Information
Coconut fatty acid methyl ester (CAM) is a reaction solution that can be used as a solvent for glycol ethers. It has been shown to react with fatty acids, forming esters. The water permeability of CAM is high, making it an ideal agent for use in pharmaceutical drugs such as antibiotics. CAM also has antibacterial efficacy, which may be due to the hydroxyl group in its structure. However, light exposure can break down CAM and make it less effective against bacteria. In addition, the presence of methyl myristate and sodium carbonate could produce cyclic lipopeptide with antibiotic properties.
