Description

Saponins are a group of triterpenoid saponin compounds that have been shown to exhibit inhibitory activity against various proteinases and lipases. H-D-Cys-OH is a type of saponin that has been found to inhibit the growth of cells in culture by preventing the release of growth factors, such as nerve growth factor. H-D-Cys-OH also has anticomplement activity and an inhibitory effect on reactions with a low yield.
