Product Information
Cef3 is a synthetic fluorinated cephalosporin that has been shown to have antimicrobial activity against Gram-positive bacteria. Cef3 displays a particle morphology with a diameter of approximately 2 μm and a luminescent property that is dependent on the concentration of the compound. The fluorescence emission spectra of Cef3 displays two peaks, one at 471 nm and the other at 575 nm, which are attributed to the presence of two different organic fluorophores. This compound also shows kinetic growth inhibition in vitro with an inhibitory constant (Ki) value of 0.2 μM for bacterial cultures. It also has optical properties that make it suitable for use in microscopy and structural analysis.
