Description

Ciwujianoside B is a natural product that inhibits the polymerase chain reaction (PCR) and can be used to enhance apoptosis. It has been shown to induce apoptosis in human leukemia cells and inhibit the growth of colorectal cancer cells. Ciwujianoside B has also been shown to have anti-inflammatory and antioxidant properties. This compound contains saponins that have been shown to have protective effects against symptoms of Alzheimer's disease in animal models. Ciwujianoside B also has an effect on cardiac muscle cells, which may be due to its ability to inhibit protein kinase C activity.
