Description:
Carbamic acid, N-4-pyridinyl-, ethyl ester is a coordination polymer with a polymeric chain that is coordinated by two nitrate anions. It is highly soluble in water and has a high affinity for chloride ions. Its spectrum consists of ligand vibrations at 3100 cm-1, 2900 cm-1, 2700 cm-1 and 2100 cm-1. The coordination polymer has been shown to be an effective ligand for the extraction of thorium from seawater.
