Description:

Cyclopentyl Isocyanate is an organic compound that is used as a cross-linking agent in polymer chemistry. It is synthesized from cyclopentanol and hydrogen fluoride. Cyclopentyl Isocyanate can be used to produce acrylate polymers, which are useful for biomedical applications such as coatings, adhesives, and drug delivery systems. The virus NS3 protease has been shown to cleave the protein substrate of this product at the serine residue in the sequence of amino acids S-S-S-N. This cleavage results in a loss of function of this enzyme.
