Description:
3-Chlorostyrene is a chlorinated aromatic compound. It is an enantiopure molecule that has been isolated in a high yield. 3-Chlorostyrene is toxic to E. coli K-12 and has shown to have a kinetic reaction with cationic surfactants such as octadecyldimethylammonium bromide (ODMAB). This product can be used in the synthesis of polymaleic acid, which has been catalysed by epoxides, chlorine atoms, and immobilized on polystyrene or polyacrylonitrile.
