Product Information
- 4-Chloro-2-(trifluoromethyl)phenyl boronic acid
- 2-Chloro-4-trifluoromethylphenyl boronic acid
4-Chloro-2-(trifluoromethyl)phenylboronic acid (4CFPBA) is a fluorescent derivative of the boronic acid that functions as a ligand and can be used to detect tumor cells. 4CFPBA binds to placental alkaline phosphatase, an antigen found on tumor cells, and has been shown to redirect these cells to be more susceptible to antibody-mediated cell killing. This compound also has a high affinity for its ligand, which makes it useful as a bispecific reagent. 4CFPBA is activated by light with a wavelength of 365 nm and emits fluorescence at 635 nm. It is not only detectable but also shows excellent stability in the presence of serum proteins.
