Description:
3-Cyano-5-fluorobenzeneboronic acid is an additive that is used in polyvinyl acetate and polyvinyl chloride production. It can be used to reduce the number of layers in polyvinyl chloride, which improves its stability and resistance to corrosion. 3-Cyano-5-fluorobenzeneboronic acid has antibacterial properties, which may be due to its ability to inhibit bacterial growth through the oxidation of cell membranes. This additive also has a stabilizing effect on carboxylic acids, such as thymol, by converting them into their corresponding esters. 3-Cyano-5-fluorobenzeneboronic acid can be used as a voltammetric probe for the determination of titanium concentrations in organic solvents.
