4-Chloro-2-Fluoroanisole is a colorless liquid that has a sweet odor. It is used as an intermediate in the synthesis of other chemical compounds. 4-Chloro-2-Fluoroanisole can be obtained by reacting carbon tetrachloride with fluorine gas, or by reacting chloroform with hydrogen fluoride in the presence of zinc chloride. This compound has been shown to have a molecular weight of 155.4 g/mol and the following spectral data:
