3-Chloro-4-Fluoro-Benzamide is a tyrosine kinase inhibitor that suppresses the growth of chronic myeloid leukemia cells in culture by inhibiting the tyrosine kinase activity of the receptor. 3-Chloro-4-Fluoro-Benzamide has been shown to be an effective treatment for chronic myeloid leukemia, but not acute lymphocytic leukemia. This compound has also been shown to be more potent than imatinib, a common drug used for this condition. 3-Chloro-4-Fluoro Benzamide can also inhibit the growth factor signalling pathway, which may contribute to its anti cancer activity.
