Product Information
- 6-Chloro-2-trifluoromethyl-7H-purine
6-Chloro-2-(Trifluoromethyl)-9H-purine (CFP) is a substituted purine nucleoside analog. It has been shown to be an effective antiviral agent against rhinovirus in vitro and in vivo. CFP inhibits the synthesis of viral RNA by interfering with the enzymatic activity of ribonucleotide reductase, which converts ribonucleotides to deoxyribonucleotides. It also possesses potent antirhinoviral properties, but does not interfere with the replication of human cells.
