Product Information
3-Chloro-5-Fluoro-4-Methoxybenzaldehyde is a fluorinated aromatic compound. It is an analog of 4-methoxybenzaldehyde. This compound was first detected in the urine of rats after administration of 3,5,3'-triiodothyronine (T3), which is a thyroid hormone. 3-Chloro-5-Fluoro-4-Methoxybenzaldehyde has been shown to be biochemically active and can be used as a substrate for oxidases and reductases. The biosynthesis of this compound involves the conversion of naphthalene to 2,6,6'-trimethylcyclohexanone via an intermediate called 2,6,6'-trimethylcyclohexane carboxylic acid. This intermediate is then converted to 1-(2,2,2,-trifluoroethoxy)benzene by an enzyme called meth
