5-Chloro-6-Fluoro-2,1,3-Benzothiadiazole is a semiconducting polymer. It is an unsubstituted aromatic ring that contains a cyclic group with heteroaromatic properties. 5-Chloro-6-Fluoro-2,1,3-Benzothiadiazole has been found to be a good electron donor and acceptor for polymers. It has shown to be useful for the production of polymers such as polyacetylene and other cyclic alkyl polymers. The cyclic structure of 5-Chloro-6-Fluoro-2,1,3 -Benzothiadiazole provides it with a high degree of stability at temperatures below 200°C.
