Product Information
- Ethane, 1-Chloro-1,2,2-Trifluoro-1,2-Dinitro-
1-Chloro-1,2,2-trifluoro-1,2-dinitroethane is a chemical compound that inhibits the growth of bacteria by binding to the 50S ribosomal subunit. It has been shown to have a similar effect on human cells as covidimide. 1-Chloro-1,2,2-trifluoro-1,2-dinitroethane is also used as a supplement for polyvinyl chloride and can be accessed through mass spectrometry. The fluorescence of 1-Chloro-1,2,2-trifluoro-1,2-dinitroethane is due to its interaction with the energy from a diode or fibre optic cable. This interaction leads to an increase in the number of electrons within the molecule which causes it to emit light at wavelengths between 350 nm and 400 nm. This emission wavelength is called fluorescence.
