Calcium hexafluoroacetylacetonate dihydrate (CH3CO)2CaO4, is a water-soluble conditioning agent used in the food and beverage industry. It is an active oxygen compound that can be used as a disinfectant, deodorizer, or sterilizer. CH3CO2CaO4 reacts with water vapor to produce active oxygen, which can inhibit the growth of microorganisms. It has been shown to have an inhibitory effect on bacteria such as Salmonella typhi, Staphylococcus aureus, and Clostridium tetani.
