Calcium Disodium Fluoro-Dioxido-Oxophosphorane Carbonate is a drug that is used in the treatment of osteoporosis, postmenopausal osteoporosis, and Paget's disease. It is not absorbed from the digestive tract and is excreted unchanged in the feces. The drug has been shown to increase bone mass, reduce bone turnover, and improve bone mineral density. Calcium Disodium Fluoro-Dioxido-Oxophosphorane Carbonate has also been shown to be safe for use by women with an intact uterus who are at high risk for developing renal stones. This drug can cause a decrease in glomerular filtration rate and may be contraindicated for patients with severe renal impairment or congestive heart failure due to its effects on blood volume and sodium levels.
