7-Chloro-6-(Trifluoromethyl)-1,2,4-benzothiadiazine 1,1-dioxide (7CTD) is an inhibitor of the sodium potassium ATPase pump. It inhibits the uptake of calcium into cells and has been shown to have a clinical use in lowering blood pressure. 7CTD is used in the treatment of metabolic disorders such as hypertension, congestive heart failure and diabetes mellitus. Clinical studies have shown that 7CTD may be effective in treating pancreatic cancer.
