Description:
Choline tosylate is a nucleophilic compound that contains a carbonyl group. It is used in the treatment of inflammatory bowel disease, where it inhibits phospholipase A2 and phospholipase C. Choline tosylate has also been shown to inhibit tumor growth in mice by inhibiting diacylglycerol (DAG) formation. This drug is also used as an analog for other perfluorinated compounds because of its stability and ability to bind with fatty acids.
