Description:
Elaidic anhydride is a diagnostic agent that has been used to modulate the amine-metal complexes. The metal ion is most often transition metal ions, such as copper and iron. Elaidic anhydride can also be used to treat sclerotic lesions by inhibiting the production of hydrogen ions, which are necessary for the formation of hydroxyapatite crystals in bone tissue. It can be used to conjugate with phosphatidylcholine, making it useful in the diagnosis of liver diseases.
