Product Information
Pyrrolidine Hydrobromide (PYR) is a fluorinated organic compound that is used as an excitatory neurotransmitter. It has been shown to have stable complexes with perfluorinated, multi-walled carbon nanotubes, and methyl ethyl ethers. PYR binds to the glutamate receptor, which increases energy metabolism in cells. Pyrrolidine Hydrobromide has been shown to have an inhibitory effect on muscle cell proliferation in diabetic neuropathy and to increase the sensitivity of the nerve endings in diabetic animals. In addition, this drug has an inhibitory effect on the release of acetylcholine from nerve endings and inhibits the production of glutaminyl-tRNA synthetase. The isolated yield for PYR is about 40%.
