Description:
4,5-Diphenyl-2-methylthiazole is an aromatic heterocyclic compound that belongs to the group of heterocyclic compounds. It is a white solid that is soluble in organic solvents. 4,5-Diphenyl-2-methylthiazole reacts with potassium to form a deep blue solution. The reaction can be accelerated by adding diphenylamine and refluxing the mixture. This reaction produces a purple precipitate when butyl is used as a solvent.
