Description:

Dodecyl isocyanate is a cross-linking agent that can be used in the manufacturing of polymers. It has an amide group and hydroxyl group, which are both functional groups found in polycarboxylic acids. Dodecyl isocyanate can be used to manufacture polymers with cationic surfactants and halides. This molecule is also a transport rate reducer and is used as a polymer film stabilizer. The particle size of dodecyl isocyanate ranges from 1 to 10 micrometers, making it suitable for use in chromatographic separation. Dodecyl isocyanate has been extensively studied for its ability to form hydrogen bonds between molecules, as well as the intermolecular hydrogen bonding between the acyl chains that make up the molecule.
