Product Information

Name:
β-(4,4-Difluoro-1-piperidinyl)-2-(trifluoromethyl)-5-pyrimidineethanamine
Description:

Piroxicam is a non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drug (NSAID) that belongs to the class of pyridine carboxylic acid derivatives. It has been shown in mice to be a potent inhibitor of allodynia, which is pain caused by non-noxious stimuli. Piroxicam inhibits the production of inflammatory cytokines and chemokines, suppresses the production of pro-inflammatory mediators such as prostaglandins and leukotrienes, and inhibits the activation of T cells. This drug also reduces blood lead levels in humans and exhibits analgesic effects in vivo.
