Description:
6-Dioxo-4-Pyrimidinecarboxylic Acid 5-Fluoro-1,2,3,6-Tetrahydro-2 Methyl Ester is a potent inhibitor of human pyrophosphorylase. It has high inhibitory activity against the enzyme in leukocytes and is cytotoxic to leukemia cells. This drug is hydrolyzed by cellular esterases and has been shown to have an optimal dose in humans. 6-Dioxo-4-Pyrimidinecarboxylic Acid 5-Fluoro-1,2,3,6-Tetrahydro-2 Methyl Ester inhibits the synthesis of DNA and RNA and decreases intracellular concentrations of adenosine triphosphate (ATP) in cancer cells.
