This drug is a sulfonylurea antifungal agent. It is used to treat infections caused by fungi, such as Candida and Aspergillus. It has been shown to be active against dermatophytes, Trichophyton, Microsporum, Epidermophyton, and other fungi that cause skin infections. The drug is also effective against mycotic keratitis. The mechanism of action of this drug is the inhibition of the synthesis of ergosterol in fungal cell membranes.
