This compound also has an effect on lipid metabolism. It is used in assays for congestive heart failure and it has been shown to be useful as a single strand acceptor for sequencing of oligosaccharides. 2,4 Diaminopteridin 6 yl methyl methylamine is a chemical with an amide group at the para position of the benzoyl group and it inhibits protease activity in the pancreas.
