3,5-Difluoropyridine-2-carboxylic acid is the carboxylate form of 3,5-difluoropyridine. It has been used in the synthesis of antidiabetic drugs and devices. This compound is a ligand for a number of metal ions. 3,5-Difluoropyridine-2-carboxylic acid undergoes uptake by rat adipocytes and has been shown to be crystallographically active.
