Description:
2,6-Dichloro-3-(trifluoromethyl)pyridine is a catalyst for cross-coupling reactions. It is used in the synthesis of dyestuffs and pharmaceuticals. In addition to being a phosphine ligand, 2,6-dichloro-3-(trifluoromethyl)pyridine has been shown to be an active nucleophile in Suzuki couplings. This compound has also been used as a reagent for the synthesis of acid compounds with high regioselectivity.
