Ammonium hexafluorozirconate is a metal salt that has a phase transition temperature of -9.8°C. It is used as a catalyst for the production of sulfamic acid, which is an intermediate in the synthesis of carboxylic acids, such as polycarboxylic acids. Ammonium hexafluorozirconate also has been shown to have high catalytic activity and resistance to sulfamate poisoning. The average particle diameter of ammonium hexafluorozirconate is around 200 nm, with the growth rate being dependent on the concentration of ammonium in solution and the presence or absence of chloride ions. Inorganic compounds such as ammonium hexafluorozirconate are characterized by NMR spectra that show peaks corresponding to different types of atoms.
