Product Information

Name:
2,4-Difluorobenzene sulfonyl chloride
Synonyms:
  • 2,4-Difluorobenzene-1-sulfonyl chloride
  • 2,4-Difluorobenzenesulphonyl chloride
Description:

2,4-Difluorobenzene sulfonyl chloride is a quinoline derivative that inhibits the replication of HIV in vivo. It has been shown to have cytotoxic properties against human immunodeficiency virus (HIV) and other viruses. The compound binds to the amines on the surface of the virus, rendering it unable to bind with its receptors in the host cell. 2,4-Difluorobenzene sulfonyl chloride also inhibits protein synthesis and prevents new viruses from being produced. This drug has pharmacokinetic properties that are similar to those of chlorpromazine, including high absorption rates and low toxicity.
