Description:

2,4-Dichlorobenzenesulfonyl chloride (2,4-DCBS) is a postulated potent agonist of the CRTH2 receptor. It is an azide compound that has been shown to have a high affinity for the hCRTH2 receptor and is able to induce vasodilation in an animal model. 2,4-DCBS is soluble in organic solvents and can be synthesized from commercially available starting materials. This compound has been crystallized with x-ray diffraction data collected at room temperature on a Bruker APEXII diffractometer using copper Kα radiation. The crystals belong to the centrosymmetric space group P212121.
