Description:

1-(3,4-Dimethoxyphenyl)ethanamine is a chiral amine that has been used as an intermediate in the synthesis of other drugs. It has been shown to have high selectivity for immobilized enzymes and can be used to measure the kinetic parameters of transaminases. This compound has also been shown to be effective against E. coli and fibrinogen. 1-(3,4-Dimethoxyphenyl)ethanamine is not orally active due to its poor absorption in the gastrointestinal tract.
