Description:
1-(2,3-Dimethoxyphenyl)methanamine is an isoindoline that has been shown to have antioxidant, radical scavenging activities and anti-inflammatory effects. It binds to serotonin receptors and may be used for the treatment of depression and other mood disorders. 1-(2,3-Dimethoxyphenyl)methanamine has also been shown to reduce histone deacetylase activity in vitro, which may account for its potential use as a therapeutic agent in cancer treatment.
