Product Information

Name:
5,7-Dimethyl-1H-indazole
Synonyms:
  • 1H-indazole, 5,7-dimethyl-
  • 5,7-Dimethyl-1H-indazole
Description:

5,7-Dimethyl-1H-indazole is a product that has been shown to be effective at removing tetrachloroethene from wastewater. It is most effective at temperatures of 45°C and distillers solubles (DS) concentrations of 0.5%. 5,7-Dimethyl-1H-indazole is a low cost, biodegradable compound that can be used in the treatment of wastewater. The kinetic parameters for 5,7-dimethyl-1H-indazole were determined by measuring the rate of removal at different concentrations and temperatures. The activation energy for this process was found to be 38.0 kJ/mol and the reaction order was found to be 1.8. 5,7-Dimethyl-1H-indazole also inhibits enzymatic activity in wastewater and decreases the rate of biodegradation at high concentrations.
