5,6-Diaminoindazole is a nitrogenous heterocyclic compound that has been shown to have anticancer activity in vitro. It reacts with the cancer cells, causing them to die by inhibiting kinases and reactive oxygen species. 5,6-Diaminoindazole can be synthesized through a regioselective process involving quinoxaline derivatives and butanol. The synthesis of 5,6-diaminoindazole can also be achieved using pim-1 as a catalyst and solid cancer cell lines as the primary culture.
