Description:
6,11-Dihydro-5H-pyrido[2,3-b][1,5]benzodiazepin-5-one (DHPDB) is a cyclic peptide that has been shown to inhibit HIV infection. DHPDB was found to interfere with the activity of cycloalkanols, which are important in the virus's ability to infect cells. This drug also has antiulcer and antisecretory properties. It has shown some promise in treating reflux esophagitis and ulcers of the stomach and duodenum.
