3,3-Dimethyl-3,4-dihydroquinoxalin-2(1H)-one is a synthetic intermediate that is used in the industrial preparation of other chemicals. It has been shown to react with nitric acid to form an aryl and cycloalkyl group. 3,3-Dimethyl-3,4-dihydroquinoxalin-2(1H)-one also reacts with hydrogen chloride to form a hydroxy group. 3,3-Dimethyl-3,4-dihydroquinoxalin-2(1H)-one can be used as a synthetic intermediate for the production of other chemical compounds.
