1,5-Dimethyl-1H-pyrazol-3-amine is a pyrazole derivative that has been investigated for its use as an anti-cancer drug. It inhibits the growth of tumour cells by binding to DNA and inhibiting RNA synthesis. The molecular electrostatic potential of 1,5-dimethyl-1H-pyrazol-3-amine was calculated using a model from quantum chemical calculations. This parameter was found to be high in solvents such as acetonitrile, which would increase the efficacy of this drug molecule. The functional theory was used to optimize the 1,5-dimethyl-1H-pyrazol-3-amine molecule with respect to bond length and angle values.
