1,3-Dimethyl-4-nitro-1H-pyrazole is a pharmaceutical drug that can be used for the treatment of cancer. It has been shown to inhibit the growth of cancer cells in vitro and in vivo. 1,3-Dimethyl-4-nitro-1H-pyrazole was found to be effective against mcf7 cells and ovarian cancer cells in vitro. The elemental analysis revealed uptake of 1,3-dimethyl-4-nitro pyrazole into the cells. This uptake was dependent on the concentration of cisplatin. The diffraction pattern showed that this molecule is thermally unstable and undergoes isomerization. In addition, 1,3-dimethyl 4 nitro pyrazole also inhibits cellular proliferation and induces apoptosis in hl60 cells and lung adenocarcinomas in vivo.
