N,N-Dipropylpropane-1,3-diamine is a radiopharmaceutical that is used in vitro to validate the affinity of benzamide for melanin. It has been shown to be a validating radionuclide for in vivo biodistribution and uptake studies of benzamide in the human body. The uptake of N,N-Dipropylpropane-1,3-diamine is highest in the organs with high concentrations of melanin, such as skin and eye.
