Description:
1,2-Dihydroacenaphthylene-5-sulfonic acid (DAAS) is a fluorescent probe that can be used to detect amines and carboxylic acids. It has a high affinity for these compounds and is used in liquid chromatography for the analysis of phenolic compounds. DAAS was synthesized by sulphonation and by direct oxidation of the corresponding acid. This product is pharmacokinetic, colorless, and soluble in water.
