N,N-Dimethylpentane-1,5-diamine is a marine natural product that belongs to the class of tetrasaccharides. It has cytotoxic properties and has been shown to bind to erylusine receptors in the IL-6 receptor family. N,N-Dimethylpentane-1,5-diamine is produced from marine sponges by chemical methods and has been shown to inhibit IL-6 signaling through antagonism of erylusine receptors.
