3,5-Dichloropyrazine-2-carbonitrile is a chemical compound that inhibits the activity of protein kinases. It has shown to be an inhibitor of protein kinase C (PKC) and PKC isozymes. 3,5-Dichloropyrazine-2-carbonitrile has been shown to inhibit the proliferation of rat hearts transplanted into rats with an autoimmune disease in a model system. This inhibition was due to its ability to inhibit PKC activity, which may help prevent allograft rejection.
