Description:

Dimethyl 2,5-dibromoterephthalate (DBTE) is a high molecular weight polymer that can be used in the manufacture of various devices. It has shown to have a number of instabilities, such as gelation and crystallization, which are caused by the acceptor monomer. The morphology of DBTE is dependent on the temperature, with a solid phase at lower temperatures and a liquid phase at higher temperatures. The cyclic voltammetry studies show that DBTE has a methyl ester group in its structure.
