The 2,5-Dioxopyrrolidin-1-yl 6-(5-(2-oxo-hexahydro-1H-thieno[3,4-d]imidazol-4-yl)pentanamido)hexanoate is a model system that was used to study the effect of monoclonal antibodies on cancer cells. The electrochemical impedance spectroscopy showed that the drug inhibited the growth of solid tumours and decreased the proliferation of myeloma cell lines. The hybridoma cell line was reactive against epidermal growth factor and also produced monoclonal antibodies against basic fibroblast. The antibody response was improved when streptavidin was added to the assay.
