Description

3,5-Dibromo-2-methoxypyridine is a novel antitumor agent that has been optimized for its anti-angiogenic properties. It is an anti-angiogenic agent and analogs of this compound have shown to be effective in inhibiting tube formation in vitro. 3,5-Dibromo-2-methoxypyridine has demonstrated anti-angiogenic properties in vivo by reducing the growth of implanted tumor cells and preventing the development of new blood vessels. This drug also inhibits the formation of new blood vessels by blocking the proliferation of endothelial cells.
