Description

1,3-Dibromo-2-fluorobenzene is a product of esterification and diazotization. It inhibits the growth of bacteria by binding to the ribosome, inhibiting protein synthesis. It has been shown to be effective against gram-positive bacteria such as Staphylococcus aureus and Gram-negative bacteria such as Escherichia coli and Flavus. 1,3-Dibromo-2-fluorobenzene has also been shown to have antibacterial properties, which are due to its ability to inhibit protein synthesis in bacterial cells.
