Description

2,6-Dimethylterephthalic acid is a synthetic organic compound that is used for the synthesis of other compounds. It has been shown to react with azides to form 2,6-dimethylbenzeneazide, which is a useful linker in synthesizing other compounds. 2,6-Dimethylterephthalic acid has also been shown to be useful in synthesizing liquid crystalline materials and magnetic materials.
